TRAINING CURRICULUM

 

Yoga Practice

We will teach you many Yoga poses, adapted to you. You do not have to be at any level of Yoga practice to join the course. You will learn how to break down poses in terms of strength, flexibility and skill, enabling you to progress yourself and your clients.

Yoga Styles

We cover many Yoga Styles as we believe every Yoga Teacher has different preferences and their own personal style.  We include Vinyasa Flow, Yin Yoga, Kids Yoga, Pregnancy Yoga, Hot 26 and Pilates for Yoga.

Teaching Skills

We will explore many Yoga teaching skills, to find your voice and your style. We provide you with specific classes sequence to teach so you can focus just on teaching. Your teaching skills sessions will cover Yoga privates, classes and teaching on zoom. You will develop your teaching, in a safe place, progressively over time.

Alignment, Symmetry, Posture & Other Yoga Topics

With Jenni Rawlings we explore many Yoga topics. We use Jenni’s blogs, podcasts, You Tube & Instagram posts to explore Yoga tips, myths and movement science.

Meditation, Mindfulness and Breathwork

We explore the fascinating fields of mindfulness, meditation and breathwork. We teach you the theory behind the use of these practices in the Yoga field and how to use these skills in the Yoga classroom.

Yoga Classes

You will be taught Yoga Classes that are designed to enhance your knowledge as a Yoga Teacher. Our main classes are fun, skillfully sequenced Vinyasa Flow classes which connect to your learning of applied yoga anatomy, progressive sequencing and teaching skills.

Applied Yoga Anatomy

We teach you applied anatomy for Yoga and break down many common Yoga Myths. You will learn to understand your body; how your hips, spine, shoulders and back move in Yoga Poses, what we can change and what we cannot. 

Yoga Class Sequencing

We break down Yoga Class sequencing into accessible, manageable blocks, enabling you to build sequences with ease. In additions, you are given sequences to take home, giving you a small library of sequences to teach.

Business of Yoga

We investigate how to build YOUR Yoga business. Who are you? How and where will you teach? Who are your target clients? Building a website, a social media presence, and marketing strategies to help you the Yoga teacher.

History of Yoga Philosophy

We teach the History of Yoga Philosophy from an evidence based, secular perspective. We look at the path that Yoga has taken over many centuries, and explore what it means to call yourself a Yoga teacher in the modern world.
